How membership fees, joining fees and payments are handled at RAMA, including when refunds apply.
This policy explains how the Registered African Migrants Association ("RAMA") handles refunds of membership fees and related payments. RAMA is a non-profit organisation, and member subscriptions fund our protection, advocacy and economic-empowerment programmes.
Joining fees are non-refundable once membership has been approved and activated. This covers the cost of membership verification and administration.
If your membership application is declined (for example, because eligibility criteria are not met), any joining fee paid will be refunded in full within 14 business days.
Monthly subscriptions are billed in advance. If you cancel your membership, billing stops at the end of the current billing month. No partial-month refunds are provided for unused days within a billing month.
Annual subscriptions are billed upfront and include a discount equivalent to two months free. If you cancel mid-year, RAMA will consider a pro-rata refund of the unused full months, less the value of any discount already applied, on a case-by-case basis.
